Public Transportation

Public transportation is a great way to get around town.  It saves money and the earth at the same time.  Because of the benefits, public transportation is being utilized now more than ever.  You have many options when it comes to public transportation and each option varies in both prices and and experience.

Taxi’s:

Taxi’s are perfect for those that live in metropolitan areas like New York City, you can get from on side of the city to another using just a ten dollar bill.  They also work out well when you need to get to an airport.  The trunk allows enough room for your luggage and you do not have to worry about asking your friends for a ride or airport parking prices.  Taxi’s are not economical for those that live in lass populated areas, particularly if you are using them to get back and forth to work.  You may spend as much as your paycheck is worth just to get to work and back.

Buses:

Buses are great for both metropolitan areas and less populated areas, you typically pay a small flat fee each day.  There is more walking involvedwhen you take a bus rather than a taxi.  Buses are by far the most ecofreindly method of transportation other than walking and biking to and from work or the grocery store.

We are witnessing a movement towards using public transportation more oftenthan personal transportation.  THe reasons are plenty.  One reason might be the price of gas or simply the concern for the environment, regardless you should know how to use public transportation, you may have transportation problems one day and need the assistance of public transformation just to keep your job.  Economic and the environment are influencing so many things and transportation is going to be more effected as the years go by.
