Pickup trucks are always in demand. People without them are always looking for someone who drives one when it’s time to move something, after all. It only makes sense that some people decide to skip that step, especially if they have regular moving needs. The pickup truck is a major part of the American automotive landscape.

If you’re looking into driving a pickup, you have a lot of options available. First of all, you have a choice of compact or full sized pickups. Compact pickup trucks have a number of uses and appeals. They’re closer to the size of cars, so they’re easier to handle. They also tend to have smaller engines and therefore consume less gas. They often have camper shell covers for the truck beds, so you can increase the practical storage capacity of your truck. Compact pickup trucks can come with extended cab setups, but club cab or standard cabs tend to be more common. Some smaller pickup trucks are starting to resemble full sized trucks in both features and size. They lose some of the benefits of the smaller trucks, but gain some of the attributes of the larger ones as a compromise.

Full sized trucks tend to appeal to people with more regular practical use for a pickup truck. People who move things around, transport things for work, or other such endeavors are more inclined to drive full sized pickups. They have bigger bodies, bigger beds, and much bigger engines to help carry more and bigger things around. Camper shells are available for these trucks as well, but not as commonly used as with compact pickup trucks. Some drivers prefer the larger trucks due to the larger cabin areas and the availability of full extended cab setups. Extended cab compacts are also available, but they’re less common and less spacious. Extended cab full sized trucks have interior space comparable to full sized sedans.
